Build Your Own Portable Bitcoin Mining Rig / Battlestation

Is there a niche for a small portable digital "typewriters"? (or the story of my keyboard experience)

Hello, MK Redditors.
I'm here with quite an endeavour.
But first, let me tell you a little (actually, a lot. lol) about myself. My name is Ilya (yes-yes, I love you all). I'm from Russia and I have cerebral palsy (nothing to worry about, it's just the way it is). Because of my creative nature, I always wanted to make something. When I was a little kid, my favourite toy was a LEGO set. I had literary a full bucket of it and was building cities, machines and all sorts of stuff, functional and not. Then the school years came... I did well in school (it was a special one for students with disabilities). The only problem was I could not write. I mean, yeah... I can write by hand (thanks to my parents, pre-school teachers and my first teacher in elementary school), but it's much much slower than the non-disabled people, and even my disabled classmates were outpacing me in writing by hand. In the elementary school it was all right, I tried to keep a pace. But by the 3rd grade (we have 4 years elementary, 6 years middle and 2 years of high school) it became apparent that I needed some extra help with that. We did not have iPads, or iPhones and even cellphones were a luxury back in the late 90s - early 2000s. So the school had a couple of electric (but not digital) typewriters for the students like me. Oh... That clicks... That feels... For a small 10 y.o. me it was huge noisy beast of a mechanical and electrical powers fused together, literally spitting the letters on paper and choking on itself when the jam occurred (which, frankly speaking, occurred quite often under my little unstable fingers). But anyway, I was writing faster and faster. I loved it. To be able to materialise my ideas onto something physical (a.k.a. paper), to be able to express myself through the written text, to make my world on paper. It was fascinating. It was like LEGO, but on a much bigger scale. Because this time I was expressing myself not trough premade pieces of plastic, but rather using the words, building blocks of society and culture. Around the same time, my parents got me my first PC - the outdated Win95 machine with fat tube monitor covered with "eye-protecting" film, floppy discs as the only means of transferring files and, obviously, no internet. Keyboard was much slimmer, but also cheaper. There were no... character to it. But hey... It was the COMPOOOTER! My, personal, with all the software and hardware to explore. Being quite curious child, I was exploring the broad world of Computing. I remember crashing the system a couple of times due to my "what will happen if I delete/run this" to the point of complete wipe of the HD, or messed up BIOS. The computer guy would then come with like 20 Floppies to reinstall the system. The pure childish curiosity and no fear of making mistakes... The golden years, indeed.
The teenage years came in. I started to write poetry and songs. Because... well... hormones, love, hatred, broken heart and other teenage shite. OOTERS are becoming more powerful, KEEBS are becoming cheaper and shittier. One time I've completely worn off WASD claster (I loved Video Games. I still am, just don't have enough time to play them. The adult life got the best of me... lol)
Then... well... Came the UNI-time... I've switched to Mac to be "more productive", plus the MacOS looked nice and Windows were starting to go downhill. With Uni came the tremendous amount of writing. The first year I typed my course notes on a touch screen of my iPad. Because it's portable and much lighter than notebook (laptop). Then I got myself the case with the keyboard. The shittiest keyboard of all... Small... Uncomfortable... Rubbery-domey... My Apple Wireless is not the best keeb, but at least bearable. But what other options I had, for real? I could bring Battleship-type of keeb for iPad... But I did not know that mechanical keyboards existed. Until recently. I've beed lurking this place for quite some time. And thanks to this wonderful community, I'll be getting my first mech very soon. It's quite the investment. We shall see if it pays out.....
My other passion is programming and DIY electronics. I'm still a noob at it. But hey... Learning new skills is fun and good for your brain. I have built a 3D printer, a portable PC that I designed myself and a retro gaming console (on a RPi). So yeah...
So... TL;DR of this long introductory section: I love writing (as you can probably tell by this wall of text), computers and DIY.
That is my story so far. As you can see, the keyboards (at least for the way I see it) are becoming worse and worse, while PCs are becoming more commonly distributed. I mean EVERYONE's got a computer in one form or another, be it a stationary PC, a tablet PC or a smartphone.
Plus, the devises are becoming "smart". The "smartification" of our devices is so common, that we don't know whether our smart fridge is secretly streaming our nightly snack for the whole Internet to watch or mining that sweet sweet Bitcoin for the North Korea while we are on a holiday.
I'm thinking about my next DIY project. And since I've got my hands dirty in PCB design, I'm thinking of throwing together every skill I have and make... drum roll, please...
__
The portable digital typewriter.
__
Basically a smart mechanical keyboard. Something like Freewrite, but smaller and more portable and definitely cheaper. I'm thinking maybe a 40% layout with the Pi Zero W (even smaller version of a Raspberry Pi) as the brain.
If I like the end result, I might as well make a small batch and sell it. So... My main question is this:
Is there a market for such devices? Or is it just a gimmicky gadget that will be there for the LOLs? What are your opinions on such a device?
I myself would see this as a small niche item for the disabled like me who is in need for the small and portable device to write on or the writers who don't like to carry the laptop and the mech keyboard with them.
What do you, guys and gals of MKR, think about it?
Once again, sorry for a wall of text.

All The Longreads (So Far)

I'm trying to work on a system that would pull only the longreads links out and shove them into their own RSS feed. It's super hacky and embarrassing and all the other things that prevent people from sharing code (I will eventually, I promise...it's only 11 lines of python right now). But, I should at least share all the links, by date, in a post. Please enjoy all the longreads:

MeWe: A trip report

Among the more frequently mentioned G+ alternatives at the Google+ Mass Migration community, and others, is MeWe with over 250 mentions. The site bills itself as "The Next-Gen Social Network" and the "anti-Facebook": "No Ads, No Political Bias, No Spyware. NO BS. It is headed by professed Libertarian CEO Mark Weinstein.
As the site reveals no public user-generated content to non-members, it's necessary to create an account in order to get a full impression. I thought I'd provide an overview based on recent explorations.
This report leads of with background on the company, though readers may find the report and analysis of specific groups on the site of interest.

Leadership

Founder & CEO Mark Weinstein.
Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Jonathan Wolfe (no longer with company).

Press

There are a few mentions of MeWe in the press, some listed on the company's website, others via web search.

Self-reported articles

The following articles are linked directly from MeWe's Press page:
The page also lists a "Privacy Revolution Required Reading" list of 20 articles all addressing Facebook privacy gaffes in the mainstream press (Wired, TechCrunch, Fortune, Gizmodo, The Guardian, etc.).

Other mentions

A DuckDuckGo search produces several other press mentions, including:

Technology

This section is a basic rundown of the user-visible site technology.

Mobile Web

The site is not natively accessible from a mobile Web browser as it is overlayed with a promotion for the mobile application instead. Selecting "Desktop View" in most mobile browsers should allow browser-based access.

Mobile App

There are both Android and iOS apps for MeWe. I've used neither of these, though the App store entries note:
Crunchbase cites 209,220 mobile downloads over the past 30 days (via Apptopia), an 80.78% monthly growth rate, from Google Play.

Desktop Web

Either selecting "View Desktop" or navigating with a Desktop browser to https://www.mewe.com your are presented with a registration screen, with the "About", "Privacy Bill of Rights", "MeWe Challenge", and a language selector across the top of the page. Information requested are first and last name, phone or email, and a password. Pseudonymous identities are permitted, though this isn't noted on the login screen. Returning members can use the "Member Log In" button.
The uMatrix Firefox extension reveals no third-party content: all page elements are served from mewe.com, img.mewe.com, cdn.mewe.com, or ws.mewe.com. (In subsequent browsing, you may find third-party plugins from, for example, YouTube, for videos, or Giphy, for animated GIFs.)
The web front-end is nginx. The site uses SSL v3, issued by DigiCert Inc. to Sgrouples, Inc.

Onboarding

The onboarding experience is stark. There is no default content presented. A set of unidentified icons spans the top of the screen, these turn out to be Home, Chats, Groups, Pages, and Events. New users have to, somehow, find groups or people to connect with, and there's little guidance as to how to do this.

Interface

Generally there is a three panel view, with left- and right-hand sidebars of largely navigational or status information, and a central panel with main content. There are also pop-up elements for chats, an omnipresent feature of the site.
Controls display labels on some devices and/or resolutions. Controls do not provide tooltips for navigational aid.

Features

Among the touted features of MeWe are:

Community

A key aspect of any social network is its community. Some of the available or ascertained information on this follows.

Size

Weinstein claims a "million+ following inside MeWe.com" on Twitter.
The largest visible groups appear to have a maximum of around 15,000 members , for "Awesome gifs". "Clean Comedy" rates 13,350, and the largest open political groups, 11,000+ members.
This compares to Google+ which has a staggering, though Android-registrations-inflated 3.3 billion profiles, and 7.9 million communities, though the largest of these come in at under 10 million members. It's likely that MeWe's membership is on the whole more more active than Google+'s, where generally-visible posting activity was limited to just over 9% of all profiles, and the active user base was well under 1% of the total nominal population.

Active Users

MeWe do not publish active users (e.g., MUA / monthly active users) statistics.

Groups

MeWe is principally a group-oriented discussion site -- interactions take place either between individuals or within group contexts. Virtually all discovery is group-oriented. The selection and dynamics of groups on the site will likely strongly affect user experience, so exploring the available groups and their characteristics is of interest.
"MeWe has over 60,000 open groups" according to its FAQ.
The Open groups -- visible to any registered MeWe user, though not to the general public Web -- are browsable, though sections and topics must be expanded to view the contents: an overview isn't immediately accessible. We provide a taste here.
A selection of ten featured topics spans the top of the browser. As I view these, they are:
Specific groups may appear in multiple categories.
The top Groups within these topics have, variously, 15,482, 7,738, 15,482 (dupe), 7,745, 8,223, 8,220, 1,713, 9,527, 2,716, and 1,516 members. Listings scroll at length -- the Music topic has 234 Groups, ranging in size from 5 to 5,738 members, with a median of 59, mean of 311.4, and a 90%ile of 743.5.
Below this is a grid of topics, 122 in all, ranging from Activism to Wellness, and including among them. A selected sample of these topics, with top groups listed members in (parens), follows:
To be clear: whilst I've not included every topic, I've sampled a majority of them above, and listed not an arbitrary selection, but the top few Groups under each topic.

Google+ Groups

The Google Plus expats group seems the most active of these by far.

Political Groups

It's curious that MeWe make a specific point in their FAQ that:
At MeWe we have absolutely no political agenda and we have a very straightforward Terms of Service. MeWe is for all law-abiding people everywhere in the world, regardless of political, ethnic, religious, sexual, and other preferences.
There are 403 political groups on MeWe. I won't list them all here, but the first 100 or so give a pretty clear idea of flavour. Again, membership is in (parentheses). Note that half the total political Groups memberships are in the first 21 groups listed here, the first 6 are 25% of the total.

It seems there is relatively little representation from the left wing, or even the centre, of the political spectrum. A case-insensitive match for "liberal" turns up:
Mainstream political parties are little represented, though again, the balance seems skewed searching on "(democrat|republic|gop)":
The terms "left" and "right" provide a few matches, not all strictly political-axis aligned:
Socialism and Communism also warrant a few mentions:
And there are some references to green, laboulabor parties:

Conclusion

Whilst there may not be a political agenda, there does appear to be at least a slight political bias to the site. And a distinctive skew on many other topical subjects.
Those seeking new homes online may wish to take this into account.

What is the objective of the Skywire Public Testnet?

There are several goals we will accomplish with the Skywire Public Testnet. The testnet will be split into several phases. The version running today is the internal version of our testnet, aimed to validate its function and performance. The coming revision will publicize the network, as well as establish a fair economic model reward mechanism for running nodes. This will be based upon analysis of node utilization during testing. This testing will provide us valuable information to design a robust mathematical model for the mainnet so that all nodes on the mainnet will be automatically incentivized under a fair economic model.

What is the function of this version?

Once a user sets up an operational node, they will be able to search for other nodes and be connected to users around the world, breaking down borders and barriers to access global information.
Note that any computer can become a node on the network, however, only whitelisted Skyminers (all Official and selected DIY) will be participating in the economic model testing program, and eligible for rewards.

What kind of Skyminers will be whitelisted for the Testnet?

There are three main categories of Skyminers:
The initial whitelist will include the Official Skyminers that have shipped to users around the globe. These will become the baseline for early DIY Skyminers. Since we are entering into uncharted skies, we want to initially reduce any variables possible and test the network in a controlled manner.
We have already been scaling out to include high quality DIY Skyminers with equivalent specifications, and eventually any Skyminer (official or DIY) that reaches the minimum specifications required. Those minimum specifications will be determined during the testnet and released to the Skyfleet community as they become available so stay tuned.

What will be the whitelisting process be like?

First, the Skywire core team will collect the public keys for each node within each Official Skyminer. Since there are 8 nodes in a Skyminer, each will have 8 public keys. These Official Skyminers will be whitelisted once public keys are provided to the Skywire core team.
Here is a link to the whitelist submission page
DIY Skyminers will be reviewed manually and approved weekly (approximately 50 per week) following the completion of the whitelisting process for the Official Skyminers.

Can DIY Skyminers join the whitelist?

While Official Skyminers will be on the whitelist by default (upon submission and receipt of their public keys), DIY Skyminers will be allowed to join the whitelist based on the benchmark set by the Official Skyminer’s hardware configuration. DIY Skyminers will be required to provide detailed specifications and photos, submitted to the corresponding team for review. Qualified DIY Skyminers will be added into the testnet whitelist. Please remember that only selected DIY miners will be whitelisted. You may refer to the Skywire community on Telegram or the community Skywug forum for more discussions around this topic.
The first generation Offiicial Skyminer hardware configuration is as follows:
8 hardware nodes made up of 8 Orange Pi Prime PCB boards
8+1 100Mbps router (custom 16-port OpenWRT in production)
16GB RAM (8 x 2GB DDR3)
ARM Cortex-A53 CPU
Hexa-core Mali450 GPU
LAN Bandwidth: 8 x 1000Mbps
64-bit Linux (Alpine Linux)

What kind of hardware will be able to participate in the Testnet?

Any computer can be added to the Skywire Public Testnet, set up as a node, and use the functions of Skywire. However, only a limited number of machines will be whitelisted (including Official Skyminers and some DIY Skyminers as noted above) and receive rewards during the testing stage.
Machines not on the whitelist will still be able to participate in the network and access the full service of the network, however they will not receive rewards.

Is a dedicated router part of the required spec? For example, if someone builds a miner that meets spec with 8 nodes and a switch, but just has it connected directly to their home/ISP Router will they be whitelisted?

They could be whitelisted. Official miner is just a benchmark and DIY Skyminer doesn’t require the exact same setup as the benchmark.

Is there any difference between Official Skyminers and DIY Skyminers?

In the current testnet, only ONE miner is allowed to be whitelisted per IP address. In the future when rewards is proportional to the bandwidth you are producing for the network, any rewards is directly tied to the bandwidth you are producing so you may have any number of miners as you want with a single IP address.

How do I setup the software for my Official Skyminer?

We have simplified the process of setting up a Skyminer by creating a Skywire software package image for users to directly flash to their SD cards. The image contains all the standard functions that the nodes will need to get started with Skywire, such as the operating environment, static IP address, auto-start function, etc.
Please visit the Skywire Github for a detail tutorial on the software set up process.

How do we join the Testnet?

Those who have previously installed a version of Skywire can update directly in the software. (Note: if the update fails, please reinstall it by following the instructions on Github: https://github.com/skycoin/skywire).
Please remember that only whitelisted miner will receive rewards at this stage. However, you can still access the same VPN functions with Skywire along with everyone else!

What do we do after installation?

It is simple! All you have to do is keep the node online so that other Skywire nodes can connect to yours, as we perform network tests and do all the heavy lifting from our end. Grab a drink, sit back, relax and enjoy using the new internet :).

Economics

What will be the reward mechanism for running nodes?

At the moment, whitelisted miners will require a minimum of 75% up time per month to receive that month's rewards. The reward ratio will be set carefully going forward. We will first need a rigorous dataset as a point of reference and will be adjusting the rate continuously throughout the process as the economic model gets established.
It is important to note that in the current testnet, Skycoin is rewarded independent to bandwidth production of your miner. In the future, Coin Hours will be earned instead of Skycoin depending on the bandwidth you are providing to the Skywire network.

Do we get extra rewards for maintaining >75% up-time?

No you will not. Everyone who maintain >75% up-time will receive the same rewards.

What is the mining rewards?

For the first month, the rewards was set as 96 SKY per official miner and 6 SKY per node up to 48 SKY for DIY miners. As we figure out the most optimal economics to incentivise a global meshnet of hardware infrastructure for this new internet, this number will change depending on the growth of our network.

Does Skyminer mine Coin Hours?

Coin Hours is a separate currency produced by Skycoin. Each Skycoin produce 1 Coin Hour every hour. Coin Hour will be used in the future to pay for transactions in the Skycoin economy such as Skywire and Kitty Cash accessories. Once we move onto the main net, Skyminer will produce Coin Hour instead.

How often does the whitelist uptime monitoring refreshes?

It refreshes at the beginning of every month.

Do we need to be whitelisted once we move to the mainnet?

No. Anyone is free to join and start earning by contributing valuable resources (bandwidth, storage and computation) once we are on the mainnet.

Technical

When I visit 192.168.0.1 on my browser, I see my own home's router instead of the miner's router. How do I fix this?

There is a conflict in the LAN configuration between your home's router and the Skyminer's router. You need to change the miner's router IP to another IP address OR you can change the miner's router into your own network switch

Is Skycoin node the same as Skywire node?

No. They are a completely separate and independent decentralised network. Skywire node is responsible for sending, receiving and transmitting data. Skycoin node is only for validating transactions and the state of the blockchain much like Bitcoin nodes.

Do I need to leave my computer on once I have configured my Skyminer properly?

No you do not. As long as your home's internet modem is still turned on and providing bandwidth to the router and CPU boards on your Skyminer, your own personal computer doesn't need to be left on. That's the idea of having an independent purpose-built Skyminer.

My Skyminer was turned off because my power went out, will I need to re-register on the whitelist and lose my rewards?

No. All you need is to maintain a >75% up time as shown on the discovery address (http://discovery.skycoin.net:8001/)

Will I need to reflash if my miner was shut off?

No you will not. Installing Skywire on a Pi is like installing a program on your personal computer. You don't need to reinstall the program every time you turned off your computer.

Will changing the router affect my node's public key?

No it will not. The public key is attached to the software installed on the Pi. If you reinstall the program (eg. reflashing) then you will have a new set of public keys. If you have reflashed after submitting your public keys on the whitelist, you have to contact us to change you public keys otherwise you will not receive your rewards.

I can't log on to the router of my official Skyminer.

Ensure all the networking cables are attached correctly, turn off any wifi and VPN on your computer, ping 192.168.0.1 via the Windows or Mac command prompt interface. If you are able to ping your router than please wait 2 minutes and try again. Contact our community managers for support for more help on the Skywire Telegram

I have set my Skyminer's router's address on WLAN as 192.168.2.104. However, when I tried to access 192.168.2.104:8000 via another computer I am unable to connect?

Port 8000 is an address set for the Manager node's board. It isn't part of the router's address. If you haven't set up the port forwarding correctly, when you try to access from another LAN network (outside of the Skyminer's own LAN), you will not be able to connect to the miner's router. If you are uncertain about how to set up portfowarding rules, contact our helpful Skywire community managers for more support.

What cables do I need for the Miner's WAN port?

The same as your home's internet cable. We recommend CAT 5e or better cables.

I successfully used Skywire to access the internet by using the bandwidth provided by another peer. However after a while, I was unable to continue using the connection and have to reconnect, why is that?

This is normal. If there is a period of bandwidth inactivity, the connection will disconnect automatically. Another reason is that the peer you have connected to is providing a sub-par connection.

How do I know what my mining nodes' IP addresses are?

Enter the Skywire manager interface installed on the Manager node, turn on 'Terminal', and enter the prompt "ifconfig" in the command prompt. It will return with the IP of that exact node you are accessing.

The green lights on all 8 boards are lit. Why do I only see 7 nodes on my Skywire Manager interface?

First check if all 8 lights are lit on the miner's router. If not then check all connections are properly installed. Then use the "ifconfig" method mentioned above to identify exactly which board is not connected. Restart and reflash that SD card and try again.

If someone else has connected to my node, can I be hacked by them?

No they can't. Due to the restrictions set up in the software code, peers are not able to visit anywhere outside of the node they are connected to.

Project Blockchain Valley

PROJECT BLOCKCHAIN VALLEY
My name is Morgan Rockwell, I am CEO of Bitcoin Kinetics Inc. Now founder of Kinetics - Blockchain, Automation & Energy. I created the first Bitcoin Operated Service Machine to allow Bitcoin to be used in the real world in all machines & businesses. We are rapidly expanding & growing into new territories, industries and concepts to help build the Bitcoin & Blockchain based industries into a competitive & profitable environment. We have began the process of issuing equity on the NYSE in New York City. We have purchased a new building to house the buildings office & factory. We have made several partnerships with many Bitcoin Business Leaders, Ethereum, Micro-controller & Chip Makers, DIY companies and many more important players in the new technology industries. We now need your help before we are forced to ask help from the banking sector, tyrants or billionaires..
We now need 10000 Bitcoins to create the greatest Bitcoin Based Economy the world will ever see, including the first Bitcoin Town... Ill give you keys to the company, all of the equity, I do not want a dollar.
There will be always be a loan offer out there for the purchase of the main street property of 1000 BTC for immediate purchase & payback with base interest rate of 15% on the 1000 BTC - giving 1150 BTC payback in 5 years or equivalent in USD value of equity in the corporation we are creating to be listed on the NYSE. When that loan contract is fulfilled by someone there will be another 1000 BTC loan contact available within 7 days for someone else to bid on. The bidding price will be based on a lower competitive interest rate and this will be done Over The Counter through personal communications.
We require an immediate range of 7000-10000 BTC to build the entire region into a fully functional Blockchain based industry zone. This will be self sustaining in regards to energy consumption & economic production. A am building partnerships with many smart people, strong businesses and influencers in industry to get these goals accomplished. I need the lending community, the Bitcoin community, the cryptocurrency communities to help make Blockchain Valley become a reality.
Anyone up for that offer? It would be able to change the world if you can contact me & send me that I have contracts ready and waiting.
This is where the future begins.
Along side that move a NEW company is created, to compete with the likes of Google, Apple, GE, Visa & CHASE. It will be called "KINETICS Inc".
Kinetics - Blockchain, Automation & Energy www.Kinetics.cc
KINETICS is facilitator of several Bitcoin & Blockchain projects including:
KINETICS is going to be incorporated in Delaware as a C Corporation. The fully functional business such as #BitcoinKinetics, #BitcoinAcademy & #Axiomity will be managed, funded and operated by KINETICS Inc.
KINETICS Inc & Bitcoin Kinetics Inc will both be located at our new shop in Upper Lake, CA in Lake County.
9450 Main St, Upper Lake, CA 95485
This buildings rent is $800 per month, to be reduced from $200,000 price for full cash purchase of property. I have plans to purchase the entire building full cash in the next 90 days, until then i'm moving in 7/13/2014 SUN & paying rent to own for 90 days. I have been told I can purchase the entire block including over 20 different store fronts, garages, a bank, a post office, a saloon, a large antique shop, several window display store front shops and even large areas of land for crypto mining data centers, fields of solar panels & wind generators, as well as the fact that all of California's fresh water is within 2000 yards of the building in several lakes. There is over 100,000 sq ft of empty store & office spaces on the main street. All of it has been personally offered to me.
We are committed to partnering with #TeslaMotors to convert the old gas station into a Tesla Super Charger Station equipped with SuperChargers, solar power & a lounge to busy the drivers as they charge their vehicle. We will be creating a Bitcoin ATM friendly lounge where customers can purchase all things Bitcoin, Hardware & even use Bitcoins at all the local shops. Ill be putting www.CryptoCrates.com in one of the shops on the block giving the worlds first Bitcoin Record Store a physical location.
There are now many possibilities with this HUGE opportunity here before us all. We are in talks with #Ethereum and several lenders, venture capitalists, bankers & Bitcoin investors to make this dream of a physical Bitcoin world a reality. We can turn Upper Lake into the start of what will be the home of #BitcoinTOWN, a place where all Bitcoin Business will want to come and have their offices. Eventually growing into a "#BlockchainValley"
There is so much money involved & needed for this long term 100 year plan, In the next 10 years up to 10,000 BTC will be needed to pay:
If you build it, they will come.
There is much to be done, its is all the start of jobs, money & Bitcoins value going to the moon. Building something in the real world with Bitcoins lending technology.
I have over 15 years of construction, civil engineering, electrical engineering & business development. I am the best human on earth to get this mission accomplished and to get the job done. We are in a state ware Bitcoin is now legal tender, the time is NOW. I can make everything happen, i talk well, i don't sleep and work non stop until the goal is reached, i have networked with everyone from the rich to the poor, to the entire Bitcoin community. This is an opportunity to be within 1 1/2 hours of San Francisco and 2 hours from Sacramento. This deal with Tesla Motors gives me the ONLY charging station in this North California region giving the loop from San Francisco, Mendocino, & The i5 to Sacramento a complete loop allowing the Tesla vehicles to travel up into the Forest Area. This will bring HUGE revenue, HUGE partnerships & many many new Bitcoin users and Kinetics customers will all be flocking up from San Francisco to the new land of Bitcoin...
All of you should help us and ill personally make you a very rich Bitcoiner, and you will save the world from fiat, from centralization & from tyranny...
To purchase the main street property only need 1000 BTC as soon as possible with 1150 BTC payed back in 5 Years. That is a 15% payback on a 1000 BTC loan that can be bid on by lenders If you can even participate in this loan in fractions, partial or full, please contact us ASAP as moves need to be made immediately. This allows us to acquire the main drag of Main Street, Upper Lake, CA and all of its shops.
We will convert it into a Solar Roadway/SolarCity filled block, with Bitcoin ATMs on every corner, Bitcoin Laundromats, Bitcoin Bank, Bitcoin Friendly Shops, A Blockchain Node in every business, A Tesla Charging Station right in front of the 1920s original Gas Station, a Restaurant Called Satoshi's Grill, with 5 star Chefs already ready to join the team, a record and music shop that takes all crypto currency, The Bitcoin Academy giving a local education center for all to access the newest information, technologies and educators, a Coffee shop friendly to all things Bitcoin & The Blockchain, giving rise to Bitcoin Gift card usage, lounge environment with data center tools. The entire town will have a 4G tower system with the first going behind the Gas Station in the yard & FREE WIFI, LIFI & MESH networking covering the entire area.
We ask you the #Bitcoin Community for funding before we ever ask a Banker, so please help us before we are forced to go ask Goldman Sachs for fiat... The community can gather 1, 10, 100, 1000 or 10000 Bitcoins to make Bitcoin usable in all machines. As a loan of 15% would be very helpful to us and to you in circulating Bitcoin & funding this community venture.
Contact us if you are willing to support this new venture as time is of the essence, moves need to be made NOW, and your Bitcoin's future depends on people like us & you giving Bitcoin real world use. Help us bring the future into the now...
THE BITCOIN TOWN / BLOCKCHAIN VALLEY PLAN
These 10 Phases will take money, people, passion and motivation. Time will only get in the way if you don't become involved with both your Bitcoin, Your Mind, & Your Sweat, Blood & Tears. We will help make this a reality, but first comes capital, participants & the plan. We are all here to help grow into a better world, Bitcoin gives us that last chance for humanity to stand up and shake off its slack. If we can come together and show the world how this technology works in the real world, the planet will see, it will feel, it will hear and know Bitcoin as reality. Over night the world can change if we put out foot down, take a stand, and create the world as we see it to be. People are at war, starving and suffering in the most horrible ways, all I personally can do is fight the good fight with Bitcoin in my hand, there is a chance now for us to have sanctuary and a place to build our plan of attack from. We now have shelter, not just for Kinetics, but for the entire Bitcoin community of users, businesses & investors. You all now will have a safe and friendly place to live, work, shop, learn and grow...
I thank you for your time and your care for the world. Thank You.

First was the World Wide Web. The second was the social web. The third will be the machine payable web.

This is an automatic summary, original reduced by 85%.
There are several problems that the core Bitcoin protocol does not solve, including acquiring bitcoin in the first place even without mining, easily setting up bitcoin-payable web services over HTTP, and discovering other developers and their bitcoin-payable web services so you can buy and sell digital goods from them.
Just install 21 from source, get it pre-installed on a Bitcoin Computer, or launch it from a Docker image.
Add Bitcoin to any appOnce you have some bitcoin in your local wallet, the 21 command line and associated libraries make it easy to write bitcoin-payable programs.
Don't take our word for it - check out this snippet to see how you can do bitcoin micropayments with one line of code, or read this tutorial on how to use 21 with Django and Heroku! Alternatively, if you want to run a little bitcoin-payable web service on a piece of dedicated hardware rather than in the cloud, you can go to 21.co/diy to learn how to build your own Bitcoin Computer.
Now what? You'll want to find buyers for your machine-payable web service to send you some bitcoin, and sellers of machine-payable web services to spend your bitcoin.
After you install 21, you can get bitcoin on any device in almost any country without a bank account or credit card, add micropayments to any app, and start earning bitcoin on every HTTP request.

What entity manages .com, .net, .gov, .us, .cn domains?

For the longest time I still have not a clue how this works. I am not sure if this is the right subreddit or something like networking
This is all I understand so far about the web (or internet?), computers, and electronics in general (its super long just skip to bold part if you need to)
INTERNET:
Okay, but who manages the .info, .com, .net, .cn, .rs, and .gov top level domains?
There's obviously some domains that are specific to countries, and are most likely managed by that countries' government entity. E.G (.us for usa? .ws for russia, .cn for china) but aren't nearly as popular as the .net and .com domains.
.Org and .gov are US? government regulated top level domains to my knowledge, where .org is mostly nonprofit. U.S.A uses .gov domains for its government organizations
So I understand that some countries government manages that domain. But what about public top level domains, like .com, .info, .net, .ca?
Who manages the database for those? Who gives authority to godaddy for those domains for rent? Who mediates copyright conflicts for those domains? (E.G. say my name is Mike Cro Soft, and I wanted to rent a domain called mikecrosoft, but get DMCA'd / copyrighted by microsoft.com)
Like, what are the big organizations mediating internet protocols and legislation on a global scale?
Who or what has access to the biggest picture of the web, and its workings and backend?
sorry for the long wall of text, I've been missing some vital information on how the web? (or is it internet?) works
disclaimer: I don't take CS classes and did not major in computer science. So I might be really off in what i understand about the internet as a whole. Most of this is just what I learned from browsing reddit and youtube
Apologies in advance if i butchered a bunch of terms and how things work. I just wrote things as they randomly came to me
