I had a very good conversation regarding onboarding a major eBay seller onto OpenBazaar. There will be Macbooks, tablets & all sorts of photography supplies! The problem is that it's a big enough company that risks are pretty scary. Namely, tax evasion. Does OpenBazaar have a mechanism for a surcharge by state? Even if it isn't referred to as tax? If a product is sold to someone in the same state, he has to pay tax whether he collects it or doesn't. Without the possibility to collect tax, he would need to markup the price across the board by 1%-3% and risk that the amount collected will be greater or equal than the amount owed to taxes. It's possible, but hopefully a last resort. Also, that raises costs for everyone. Any opinions, ideas and input are appreciated!

What's driving the demand? (Aside from Tether manipulation)
For whatever reason I like to catch up on cryptocurrency "news" and I'm a little confused on what is pumping up the price so much. Monero I understand since it is used for darknetmarkets and BCH I somewhat understand since it is more usable in transaction wise than bitcoin. However bitcoin and ether are quite confusing especially as it seems like adoption levels haven't changed and blockchain projects are in limbo (openbazaar). Bitcoin is moving to the "store of value" goalpost but why should anyone rely on shady exchanges to cash out? Also it seems that if bitcoin wants to replace USD in developing countries, the energy costs and technology proficiency (smartphone being your bank) seem like a huge obstacle. Internet access is not always available and if a country is that bad economically, wouldn't people rely on physical dollars or precious metals? I guessed if a developed country like Korea officially adopts it or sponsors an exchange could work maybe? Also if ether is a platform that wants to replace current systems, why should big enterprises use it instead of making their own system they can trust? Why bother with virtual currency? Or better yet rely on the existing legacy systems. Sorry to ask these questions but I was recently alarmed when some of my relatives over Thanksgiving wanted to know if bitcoin or this "ether stuff" was worth investing in. Naturally I cautioned them to do research first since they are not very tech proficient.

I'm doing this post as part of the "community support" bit. Does anyone know how doge can be integrated into Open Bazaar? (coders and developers, I mean you!)

According to: https://www.openbazaar.org/blog/openbazaar-bitcoin-fees/ -- "One disadvantage is obvious to anyone using OpenBazaar at the moment: Bitcoin fees are extremely high." SatoshiPay just partnered with Stellar.org because of that same issue. According to their CEO, "Bitcoin isn’t really usable for our use case anymore, so we are now happy to have a stable, mature technology in Stellar that allows us to do fast settlements, it only takes about 5 seconds now for us to settle a payment" (https://www.directorstalkinterviews.com/blue-star-capital-qa-ceo-tony-fabrizi-satoshipays-meinhard-benn-lonblu/412739915). The transaction prices using Stellar are also super cheap (The base fee is currently set to .00001 XLM—a fraction of a fraction of a penny. The sender of the transaction incurs the fee) according to their website. I honestly believe using Stellar could be a solution for OpenBazaar. For further information go to stellar.org to see the technical information about it.
